LifeFile SA Pty Ltd ("LifeFile", "we", "us") is the seller and provider of the service, and you are contracting with LifeFile SA Pty Ltd. By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the platform, you enter into an agreement with LifeFile SA Pty Ltd on these terms. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and, where you act for an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.

LifeFile SA is a digital preparedness platform that helps you organise personal, financial, and family information. It is a productivity and organisation tool — not a law firm, financial adviser, or insurer.

Content on the site, including assessment scores and recommendations, is general guidance only. Decisions about wills, cover, guardianship, and estate planning should be confirmed with qualified professionals licensed to practise in South Africa where appropriate.

• You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
• You must keep your login credentials confidential and are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be 18 or older to create an account.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your selected plan. You may not reverse engineer the platform, resell or redistribute it, or circumvent technical limits.

You retain ownership of the information and documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, back up, and display that content solely to operate the service for you. You confirm you have the right to upload the materials you add.

You must not misuse the service. This includes, without limitation:

• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam.
• Uploading content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Interfering with the security of the service, including malware, probing, or scraping.
• Sharing another person's sensitive information without a lawful basis.

We retain all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including the software, documentation, and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that ownership to you.

Paid plans renew automatically at the pricing shown at purchase (monthly or annual). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions are pay-as-you-go: you may cancel at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation penalties. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you have paid for. Our Refund Policy explains our 30-day money-back guarantee.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate these terms or applicable law. On termination, your access ends and your data may be deleted after a reasonable export window, unless the law requires otherwise.

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Features labelled as "coming soon" or "in development" may change or be delayed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, LifeFile SA Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill), or for decisions you or your family make based on information stored in or generated by the platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and disputes will be heard in the South African courts. We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance, and the "Last updated" date will change when we publish revisions. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
